Jaime Navarro
Founder
Over 18 years in the industry, with over $1.5 billion in transactional experience. Experience in acquisition and repositioning of distressed real property assets and liabilities across the United States. Strong track record navigating complex financial and legal landscapes to identify high-potential opportunities in toxic assets, using previous experience and mathematical modeling.
Transactional experience spanning a diverse range of real estate asset classes, including retail shopping centers, office buildings, multi-family properties, single-family residences, environmentally issued properties and land. Adept at sourcing and executing deals across both defaulted assets, particularly those burdened by operational inefficiencies, debt overhang, and/or legal distress (i.e. bankruptcy, and civil).
Expertise in identifying value within "toxic" or non-performing assets through proprietary modeling and real-time market analytics. Ability to leverage long-standing relationships with lenders, special-servicers, and private equity sponsors to source deals before they reach the broader market to pursue opportunistic one-off acquisitions or assembling strategic, positional plays.
Led and/or supported transactions across key U.S. markets—including California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, and New York—developing nuanced understandings of each regional market dynamics and distressed asset cycles.
Multidisciplinary background allowing the handling of complex transactions with a uniquely analytical, technical, and risk-aware perspective.
Sharon Chen
Managing Partner
Sharon is one of the co-founders of Ealat. Her primary responsibility is fundraising for the fund and specific projects. She also handles the communication with all the existing investors.
Prior to Ealat, she was most recently the Director of Operations for the Douglas Lee Team handling all support activities to assist in the close of over $300 MM in transaction volume over a ten year period.
Sharon started her career on the promotions team with Coors Light in Taiwan, where she was promoted quickly to field manager and handled marketing for the brand throughout Taiwan.
Douglas Lee
Broker Associate
Douglas is a team lead for his own team at Compass in Pasadena. Over the past 10 years, he has closed over $300 MM in transaction volume earning top 1.5% honors amongst all realtors nationwide.
Prior to residential real estate, Douglas worked as a commercial real estate agent for six years selling retail strip malls and apartment complexes. Most notably at Investment Real Estate Associates (IREA), where he sold a large shopping center in Pomona for over $8.3 MM that earned him Rookie of the Year honors.
Douglas started his career on Wall Street in New York at Credit Suisse First Boston as an Analyst in the fixed income division doing structured finance. He was part of the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group, focused on securitized products (Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities - CMBS). After that, he worked as an Investment Analyst at Divco West Properties in their acquisitions and asset management group to help deploy a $255 MM opportunistic private equity fund, focusing on class-A office properties.
Douglas graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance in 2000. He is also a graduate of the Webb Schools of California.
Douglas is now part of the Webb Schools Alumni board. He also serves on the leadership committee for Carnegie Mellon Alumni in Los Angeles and does fundraising for Rancho La Hermosa mexican orphanage in Baja, Mexico. In the past, he served as a mentor in the Dragon Kim Foundation, the Los Angeles I Have a Dream Foundation, and Asian Professional Exchange.
